Description
Cassin's Finch adult male (Carpodacus cassinii, Fringillidae) in breeding plumage in Oregon, in the Pacific Northwest of the United States, North America. The bird is standing on a dead tree branch stub, looking sideways with his head cocked at an angle and has a bright red crown showing on top of his head. He also seems to have an attitude that shows an inquisitive look on his face. The light mottled gray and green background is all fuzzy and out of focus. -- Photo: 41,781.06791
